- you
- your shop
- home base
- prove you’re local
- get paid
let’s open your shop.
wareby is only for real local sellers, so there are a few quick checks. no storefront needed. most people finish in about 8 minutes.
- a photo id (driver’s license or state id)
- the address you’ll sell from (it stays private)
- your food permit, if you sell food (don’t have one yet? we’ll help)

first, a little about you.
this is your login. shoppers only ever see your first name.
now, your shop.
watch it come together on the right. you can change any of this later.
we’ll email each person an invite to make their own login and do the same quick id check. their name shows on your shop once they confirm it’s them.
where’s home base?
the address you’ll sell from. it’s the center of your selling area: shoppers within 25 miles of it can find your shop. a house or apartment is perfect.
type your address and we’ll fill in your city.
your street address stays private. shoppers see your city, never your street. if you offer pickup here, a buyer only gets the address after they order.
no need to plan it all now. you’ll pick your pickup times, delivery times and how far you deliver later, when you set up your shop.
the part that makes wareby, wareby.
every seller shows us two things: that you’re you, and that you’re really local. it takes about 3 minutes.
confirm it’s you
about 2 mina quick photo of your driver’s license or state id, plus a selfie so we know it’s really you holding it.
why we ask
it stops fake shops and big sellers pretending to be your neighbors. we check it once, then lock it away. shoppers never see it, and neither do other sellers.
show it’s your home base
pick oneshoppers within 25 miles of your address will see your shop. show us it’s really yours with either of these.
your food permit
food sellers onlyselling food you make? your state requires a permit. type the number and we check it in seconds. in minnesota, home bakers use a cottage food registration.
last step: getting paid.
connect the bank account you want your sales sent to.
you can skip this and add it later. you just can’t take orders until it’s connected.
you’re in line, tommy!
we’re checking your shop now. we’ll text you the moment it’s open.
what happens next
get your shop ready while you wait
